Governor Jay Inslee toured the Building Performance Center this week as part of his statewide climate tour and Ian attended! The Governor toured the Building Performance Center because it is a training facility for installers, energy auditors and building analysts who do final inspections of insulation and other energy-saving measures.
The Building Performance Center partners with Sustainable Connections, the Opportunity Council, and several other organizations on the Community Energy Challenge, a program that Inslee says “where the rubber meets the road” for improving energy efficiency. He is interested in seeing how the Community Energy Challenge could reach more people and so are we!
