As a builder, there’s nothing better than transforming the heart of a home. Recently, the perfect project came along to do just that. The client was amazing, the home was in a great location, the design elements were interesting, and it needed an update! This bungalow on Chuckanut Drive had good bones and tons of potential and, yes, was in desperate need of modernization!
Our crew – guided by the sophisticated taste of our client & design team – reimagined, gutted, cleaned, and fully updated the space. It now glows with natural light, accentuating the herringbone white oak floors and marble countertops. It also just works better. In the kitchen the island adds both function and interest, the rangehood dramatically improves the indoor air quality, and there’s abundant built in storage. It’s not enough to be beautiful, the space also has to be super functional.
One of the things we love most about this home is that it is streamlined. There is uniform flooring throughout the house, the two bathrooms have similar finishes, and the cabinetry is all custom-made by High Craft. Everything just fits together. These before & after pictures tell the story.

We love sleek finishes & a uniform look .
A dream kitchen does not need to be elaborate. Simple finishes allow the quality of the selections to shine. In this modern kitchen, unique Calacatta Macchia Vecchia Quartz countertops create a depth and richness with its black & grey veins. Custom alder cabinets by High Craft Cabinets elevate the space.
Spa-like serenity at home? Yes please!
Radiant heat, an alder floating double vanity by High Craft Cabinets, and a stunning vertical green tile shower installed by Tile Wave Co., all work together to create an oasis for the homeowner and her guests.
What a difference ceiling color makes.
While the building was in good shape, the look was eclectic and needed better flow and functionality. This great room is now light & bright after we removed a central wood-burning fireplace, replaced the flooring with a chevron patterned white oak, and repainted. Changing the ceiling color allows the natural light to shine.
