Background

Our clients had three primary goals with this custom kitchen remodel.  They wanted to take advantage of an amazing view, modernize their outdated kitchen and improve the layout.  We can’t emphasize enough how much the view changed! We replaced one of the tiny corner windows with an eight foot window to allow for views of the bay and sunset. This also dramatically increase the amount of natural light in the kitchen.

Project Details

The first step of this custom kitchen remodel was to bring in Michelle Bank, who works as a designer for Smith and Vallee Woodworks. She redesigned the kitchen to enhance the view, create more a fluid workspace and updated surfaces. The updated kitchen is now has natural daylighting and is modern, functional and has a great view.

“We did a major renovation of an almost 100-year-old home with Chuckanut Builders while we were living in the home and we can honestly say it was PAINLESS!!! Not only are they very talented craftsmen but also unbelievably neat and tidy and extraordinarily professional. We felt very well-informed every step of the way and the project totally stayed on budget. Oddly enough we actually missed them a little bit the first few days after the renovation was complete!” – Client
